Overcoming People Pleasing with Ilaria Petrucci

Self-discovery, improving oneself, and being the best version of yourself are intriguing to me. This is because, as a parent and role model, I want my children to model the behaviors that I want to instill in them. I want to plant the seeds for my kids, and in order for me to do that, it's very important for me to invest in my self-improvement education.

Part of getting this wisdom is having conversations with experts who can help me in my personal transformation.

Today we're bringing you Ilaria Petrucci, a qualified Inner Child and Trauma-informed Coach, and  NLP Master Coach. She specializes in helping women overcome emotional eating and achieve their fitness goals without falling back into their old habits.

Having struggled with emotional eating for years herself, she perfectly understands the frustration and the root causes of these cycles. She is extremely passionate about helping women break free from this cycle, build deep confidence, achieve their fitness goals, and finally feel good in their skin.

Join me and Ilaria as we talk about people pleasing and where it comes from including how it is connected to emotional eating. We answer what can we do about these behaviors for our children and for ourselves.

Key Takeaway

Healing starts with being comfortable with uncomfortable feelings. Bringing compassion and love to those parts of you that you had rejected so long ago is part of that healing. It is not so much about getting rid of anything, including your weight and eating habits. It's more about seeing yourself or who you fully are. And compassionately loving yourself in that.

The baggage of pleasing others that we've been carrying on is the root cause of many of our emotional problems. And until we work through these root causes, there's no transformation.

We're going to have to work through the root problem to find the transformation we seek.

About Ilaria

Ilaria Petrucci is an Inner Child and Trauma-informed Coach, NLP Master Coach, and a multi-passionate entrepreneur in love with fitness, mountains, and coffee. She suffocated her own fire for so many years because she thought that to be loved and accepted, she had to be quiet, small, agreeable, and silent. It was a character she played in life, business, and relationships.

She recognized that she people pleased, hid behind the fear of rejection, and shrank herself to her soul's death. With time, she learned that she never knew how to lean into that fire within her. She understood that only by healing her inner child, she was able to get to know her true self. Working on healing her inner child and herself changed the way she showed up for herself, in her relationships, and in business. This work changed her life, and now her inspiring mission is to guide you to change yours.
